Why Islamic method of Slaughtering animals is better?

Al Shaddad Bin Aous has quoted this tradition of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) "God calls for mercy in everything, so be merciful when you kill and when you slaughter, sharpen your blade to relieve its pain".

Many allegations have been made that Islamic slaughter is not humane to animals. However, Professor Schultz and his colleague Dr. Hazim of the Hanover University, Germany, proved through an experiment, using an electroencephalograph (EEG) and electrocardiogram (ECG) that *Islamic slaughter is THE humane method of slaughter* and captive bolt stunning, practiced by the Western method, causes severe pain to the animal. The results surprised many.

Experimental Details:

1. Several electrodes were surgically implanted at various points of the skull of all animals, touching the surface of thebrain.

2. The animals were allowed to recover for several weeks.

3. Some animals were slaughtered by making a swift, deep incision with a sharp knife on the neck cutting the jugular veins and carotid Arteries of both sides; as also the trachea and esophagusHalal Method.

4. Some animals were stunned using a captive bolt pistol humane slaughter by the western method.

5. During the experiment, EEG and ECG were recorded on all animals to record the condition of the brain and heart during the course of slaughter and stunning.


Results and Discussion:

I - Halal Method

1. The first three seconds from the time of Islamic slaughter as recorded on the EEG did not show any change from the graph before slaughter, thus indicating that the animal did not feel any pain during or immediately after the incision.

2. For the following 3 seconds, the EEG recorded a condition of deep sleep - unconsciousness. This is due to a large quantity of blood gushing out from the body.

3. After the above mentioned 6 seconds, the EEG recorded zero level, showing no feeling of pain at all.

4. As the brain message (EEG) dropped to zero level, the heart was still pounding and the body convulsing vigorously (a reflex action of the spinal cord) driving maximum blood from the body: resulting in hygienic meat for the consumer.

II - Western method by C.B.P. Stunning

1. The animals were apparently unconscious soon after stunning.

2. EEG showed severe pain immediately after stunning.

3. The hearts of the animal stunned by C.B.P. stopped beating earlier as compared to those of the animals slaughtered according to the Halal method resulting in the retention of more blood inthe meat. This in turn is unhygienic for the consumer.

O Allah, He have already give to us safety and benefit for us, His slave, throughout the Syariah of the reliqion whether with or without our concern.... SUBHANALLAH!This is the BEAUTY OF ISLAM.

This is proven that our religion, ISLAM and its teachings is THE MOST BELIEVABLE and THE ONLY TRUE RELIGION in the Universe...

Allah The Almighty says, [Let there be no compulsion in religion: truth stands out clear from error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand hold, never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.? Allah is the protector of those who have Faith: from the depths of darkness he will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject Faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them froth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (forever)] (Al-Baqarah 2:256-257).

STORY TELLING

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other
on the face.

The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning,but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?" The other friend replied "When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

I have realized that it is sooooo "hard and hurt" to find a TRUE FRIEND!

Di Dalamnya Ada Keberkatan!

Allah berfirman: "Sesungguh Kami menurunkan (Al Qur'an) pada malam Lailatul Qadar. Tahukah engkau apakah malam Lailatul Qadar itu? Malam Lailatul Qadar itu lebih baik dari seribu bulan. Pada malam itu turunlah malaikat-malaikat dan Jibril dengan izin Rabbnya untuk mengatur segala urusan.Sejahteralah malam itu hingga terbit fajar." (Al Qadar : 1-5)

"Sesungguh Kami menurunkan pada suatu malam yg diberkahi dan sesungguh Kami-lah yang memberi peringatan. Pada malam itu dijelaskan segala urusan yg penuh hikmah (yaitu) urusan yg besar dari sisi Kami. Sesungguh Kami adalah Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Mengetahui." (Ad Dukhan : 3 - 6)

Pendapat yg paling kuat terjadi malam Lailatul Qadar itu pada malam terakhir bulan Ramadhan berdasarkan hadits 'Aisyah Radhiyallahu 'anha beliau berkata bahwa Rasulullah Shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam beri'tikaf di sepuluh hari terakhir bulan Ramadhan dan beliau bersabda:
"Carilah malam Lailatul Qadar di (malam ganjil) pada 10 hari terakhir bulan Ramadhan." (Bukhari (4/225) dan Muslim (1169))

Rasulullah s.a.w. melakukan ibadah pada malam itu bukan hanya setakat baginda sahaja tetapi baginda menyuruh ahli keluarga bangun bersama beribadah. Kata Aisyah r.a.
Maksudnya: "Nabi s.a.w. apabila masuk 10 akhir bulan Ramadhan baginda mengikat kainnya. Menghidupkan malam dengan beribadah dan membangunkan keluarganya untuk sama-sama beribadah. Mengikat kainnya bermaksud bersungguh-sungguh mengerjakan ibadah."



Bagaimana Mencari Malam Lailatul Qadar?

Rasulullah Shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda:
"Barangsiapa berdiri (shalat) pada malam Lailatul Qadar dgn penuh keimanan dan mengharap pahala dari Allah maka diampuni dosa-dosa yg telah lalu." (HR. Bukhari (4/217) dan Muslim (759))

Disunnahkan utk memperbanyak do'a pada malam tersebut. Telah diriwayatkan dari Sayyidah 'Aisyah Radhiyallahu 'anha bahwa dia bertanya "Ya Rasulullah apa pendapatmu jika aku tahu bilakah malam Lailatul Qadar (terjadi) apa yg harus aku ucapkan?" Baginda menjawab,
"Ucapkanlah Ya Allah Engkau Maha Pengampun dan Mencintai orang yg meminta ampunan maka ampunilah aku." (HR. Tirmidzi (3760) Ibnu Majah (3850) dari 'Aisyah sanad shahih)

'Aisyah berkata:
"Adalah Rasulullah Shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersungguh-sungguh (beribadah apabila telah masuk) malam kesepuluh (terakhir) yg tak pernah beliau lakukan pada malam-malam lainnya." (Muslim (1174))

Bila malam Lailatul Qadar?

Dan dari Ibnu Abbas Radhiyallahu 'anhuma ia berkata Rasulullah Shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda:
"(Malam) Lailatul Qadar adl malam yg indah cerah tak panas dan tak juga dingin (dan) keesokan hari cahaya sinar matahari melemah kemerah- merahan." (Thayalisi (394) Ibnu Khuzaimah (3/231) Bazzar (1/486) sanad hasan)
